Bievenidos !
On September 14, 1995, in the city of Zipaquira, Colombia, My parents and relatives looked forward to my arrival. When I was born, I was the center of attention. That day, my mom decided to name me Laura and my father, Natalia. While growing up, my parents taught me the value of life. During my elementary and middle school, I was always at the top of the class. During my years in high school, I participated in extracurricular activities such as cheerleading and dancing. In 2013, when I graduated from high school, I decided to travel for the first time to the U.S., I went to Rochester, NY, and I spent a year. During this time, I learned about the culture and language. In 2014, I went back to my country to start my career in medicine. But later in March 2016, my life changed suddenly. I was in my second year of medical school, and my parents decided to move to the united states to look for a better future. At that time, I decided to stop my career and come with my parents, even if it was not an easy choice. Right now, I am a student at the Hillsborough Community College and a part of the Honors Program. I am working on my associate degree, and this will be my last semester. I believe that with my perseverance, I will be able to achieve great things.
